Le Vita Vera

Lately I have been thinking about what a good life our family has. We have so much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving season. Sometimes, I cannot believe the blessings that our Heavenly Father has given us. I don't know what we did to deserve it. I'm not convinced that we do deserve it! We have 3 heatlhy, beautiful boys that fill our life with joy & happiness. They are hilarious, they are thinkers, they are good natured, the list goes on and on... I can't imagine my life without them. Really, who would I be without my children? I would be heartbroken, & that is the truth. I think it is a miracle that Bryan & I are members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We have strong testimonies, & we both strive to keep our covenants.

I read a talk by Boyd K. Packer that recently gave me a new perspective on what a blessing & a miracle it is to HAVE a testimony, that it is the greatest gift & should be cherished, & nurtured.

I am grateful to have faithful parents, who were active in their church callings, who took me to church, & who have served in various callings throughout their lives.

When I think about all of the blessings that our Heavenly Father has given Bryan & I, it just makes me so happy. After all, isn't that  the point of this life, to have joy, cultivate friendships, & fulfill our purposes on the earth?

I am  grateful for every spiritual gift that Heavenly Father has given to each member of our family, & it is wonderful to see these gifts in my children.

Isaac is a very tender- hearted, sweet little boy. He is kind, he is thoughtful, he is happy. He laughs a lot, and is a joy to be around. He is a rule follower- and wants to follow all the rules. Willing obedience, that is a great gift!

Penn loves to joke, laugh, & figure things out, his brain is always working on something, he is always playing with little cups of ingredients that he puts different liquids into. Yes, it drives me crazy to find these cups of ingredients around the house, however, maybe someday he will be quite the chemist.

Luke is always bright & cheery, he has the cutest little laugh. He loves to read books to himself, and put together train tracks, put together the marble set & watch how things work. He is always carrying around his miniture daranger (a mini gun) in his pocket. He is full of life.

We really do have the good life & for this I am grateful to our Heavenly Father.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our Little Turkeys
Here is a small list of what our children say they are thankful for in their own words:

Isaac: "Owen, Legos, Quentin, Luca, Scripture Scouts, Books, Soccer, & Luke"

Penn:" Luke, Ghost riders in the sky song, chicken dance song, watermelon soap, (bath buddies) & halloween candy. "

Luke: "Owen & Gum, I like dad"
