Little Sweetheart

Maybe it is a natural part of growing up, maybe it is personality conflicts, maybe it is normal for the older brother to be bothered by younger siblings, I'm not sure, but Isaac & Penn are like fire & ice. In the last few months, it has really gotten irritating. Finally, Bryan & I put the kiabosh on it before it got out of control. A little while ago Bryan took Isaac aside & explained to him that it is his responsibility to be a good example to his little brothers, and that he especially needed to work on being kind to Penn. He recounted the story of Nephi & his brothers & he explained that he loved Penn very much- that Penn is an important part of our family. Isaac is irritated by Penn because in his own words: "Penn doesnt follow the rules," "laughs too much," & is "like a wild animal." while that all may be true, it is unavoidable that people just need to get along in families.

Thus THE PEACE TALKS began.

Bryan has had several INTERVENTIONS & so have I. Finally, yesterday I suggested "if you want to learn to love Penn, why don't you try doing some kind things for him."

Well, Mr. Obedient kicked in and guess what Isaac did.... He cleaned Penns room, he made his bed, picked up his toys, dusted his furniture, and rinsed off his toothbrush. Then, he went in the toy room, told Penn to close his eyes, and suprised him with a clean room! Penn was so happy, he said, "wow, Isaac, your the best brother, my room looks so great!"

Isaac did this all without me asking him to do it! I am impressed, That was a very kind thing to do, don't you think?

Whats not to LOVE about this guy?

p.s  Bryan is growing a sweet mustache for BROVEMBER.

Ha ha, he said that he got to sit on the mustache/beard row in preisthood, these special people include Bryan Barney, Alex Westwood, Bryan H. Smith, & a few choice others.
