Grateful.

Lately I have been thinking about how blessed Bryan & I  are. We have so much to be grateful for. I feel like I am living a dream life, content, happy, & grateful.

Here is just a small list of miracles that have happened to us in the last few years.

I think its a miracle that Bryan & I get along as well as we do-we didn't date that long, in fact we barely knew each other, but he is a really great person, and I feel lucky to be his wife.  We laugh a lot & have a very happy marriage despite our many differences.

It is a miracle that we are able to have 3 healthy, happy boys. They are beautiful in every way and sometimes I can't even imagine that they are ours. They are perfect - even if they aren't perfect at church.

I am grateful to live in a home we can afford and eventually pay off. It is not too big, not too small. We have a well kept yard and plenty of space for the  boys to run around, dig in the sandbox, jump on the trampoline, and run through the sprinklers. I love my home, and good friends in our neighborhood for Isaac & Penn to play with. I think it is a miracle that we were able to move to Texas- I truly can say, I am content here.

I am grateful to have good friends. I know if I ever needed anything I know several different people who would help me out. I feel like that is a huge blessing, especially being so far away from our parents.

I am grateful for Bryans good job, short commute, & the joy that he finds at work. He works with intelligent people, a great company, & the hours are very reasonable. I consider this a direct blessing of the Lord.

I am grateful to live in a community where we have a lot of neat things going on. Every day is something new, Like story time at pottery barn, shows for the kids at the local library, museums, the arboretum, hiking & biking trails, lakes & parks, the beach, and lots of new places to explore. Even though I never considered myself to really like living in the city, it is a really neat place for kids to grow up, there is always some community 5k, or celebration-usually always for free.

I think it is a miracle that we have the gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of the preisthood. It is an amazing gift and I consider my testimony, and the testimony of my husband as a miracle that we believe it to be true.

I think it is a miracle that we have access to the scriptures, the ensign, and the words of the prophet. It was so neat to go to the Releif Society broadcast and be able to hear the message of the President Thomas S. Monson. I love the prophet. He is an amazing example- & I'm grateful that he leads and guides our church today.

My family- I consider it a miracle that we were able to have our 3 children. When you think about it, it really is a miracle- what would I do if I wasn't able to have them? Isaac, he is my buddy, we had 3 1/2 years together, we went everywhere together, he was my little friend when Bryan was away. Penn is so darling, he has the cutest personality, he is full of life, and makes us all laugh. Luke is just the sweetest little boy. He gets so excited when Penn & Isaac include him, he is a little doll, and Bryan says all the time "oh that Luke, he is such a doll."

We live a happy, content, & full life, and all of it is possible because of the gospel. I really believe that- in the Relief Society Conference sister Allred spoke about 4 key principles that ensure our eternal happines
they were

 prayer
scripture study
obedience
service

How many times have you served someone and been blessed directly because of it- I would answer ALWAYS. Even if I didn't really want to do it in the first place, I have always been blessed.
Our very exsistence is a miracle and I am grateful for all of lifes little moments.

M.J. I miss you so stinkin' much and I love that you said that your boys are perfect except at church 'cause I'm slowly starting to think that same thing with my little guy. You do have a dang cute little clan going on there. . . it's the genes! I love ya tons and hope that we can get together some time. Let me know if you are ever going to be in St. George and I'll make every effort to come see you!

I agree...very nicely put! One more little miracle you forgot to list is that you and your family have travel plans to St. George for Christmas! What a miracle!
