Smith Family's 1st Holy Communion

Last week we attended our neighbor Sebastians first holy communion. The service was held in a beautiful little catholic church in Humble Texas. Although it was held in Spanish, the music was especially beautiful- even Isaac was whistling along & snapping his fingers. It was really neat to see the communion & their version of the sacrament- I was glad we went and was reminded of how many good Christian neighbors we have here in Texas!

I really wanted to bring my camera, but I felt like I shouldn't since it was church, but now I wish I would have because everyone took pictures in the church next to the virgin Mary, the water fountain, and the main stage area. Sebastian looked so handsome & was so proud. Afterward we all went out to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant with his parents, and close friends & family. Isaac thought he was so awesome sitting at the big kid table- until the rest of the kids got mad at him for sampling a bite from each slice of pizza. He even ordered his own soda- and had a blast. ( okay so this was more of the spirit of the law event- they invited us and we are their close friends- so we went).

Maybe one of the funniest things that happened was when mass was finished- was when Isaac said to me- "what was that all about? Don't they know I'm a just a Mormon BOY?"

We love our little families that we live by and are so grateful that they were thoughtful enough to invite us- we thoroughly enjoyed our first Catholic Mass experience.

I love the "Mormon boy" comment! That's great.
