Happy Birthday, my boy!
1. Isaac is super awesome. He always does the right thing, even when it is diffucult.
i.e Monday we went to the fountains, I told all the kids "please don't play in the waterfall, it is against the rules." He was the only one that did not play in the water fall, at all- and didn't even ask why or sneakily jump in. I'm proud of him.
2. He always reads his scriptures. I am always forgetting or inconsistent, but he always reminds me that it is important every day. He is a good boy.
3. He loves to play the wii, & his ipod touch. When I ask him to pause the game or tell him it is time to put it away, he never throws a fit or whines- he does it quickly. That makes me happy, and I'm a little suprised.
4. He is nice to his brothers. Even though I am sure he is annoyed at them from time to time, he shows empathy & is always spending time with them & takes time to read books to Luke. He loves to play "spy guy" with Penn after school.
5. He gets straight A's. I don't have to worry about what grade he is going to get. He always comes home with an E or an S for his conduct grade. Most likely he will have 90% or above on each assignment he completes. He is a hard worker.
6. He has a great personality. When we are in public, he is very shy & doesn't talk a whole lot, but at home he is always laughing & happy. He always comes up with great ideas for "family time" and has us cracking up at dinner time. His teacher said that he "is quiet, has a few good friendships, keeps to himself, and does not annoy anyone." I think that is a great compliment. He did recently tell one kid in his class "if you do not quit being a bully to everyone in this class, I will have no choice but to punch you RIGHT in the stomach- so you'd better straighten UP." Mrs. Naylor said she was cracking up because she could not imagine Isaac punching anyone in the stomach.
7. After the last bullet point, this sounds strange, but- he is a peacemaker. He has gotten over fighting with Penn. {thank goodness}He is always trying to settle problems between Luke & Penn. He will say "now you two are brothers, so you need to learn to live with each other." He also says things like "Penn, just what on earth do you think that will do, huh, you need to think about the consequences," He acts older than he is at times, - maybe that is the job of the older sibling. He is always finding things for his little brothers. If Luke looses his blanket, he says " i'll help you look for it, Luke- & then he goes & finds it for him. He is a nice boy to have around.
I am grateful to have him be the older brother because he is a great example to our other boys. He is content with every day life & really enjoys relaxing and spending time by himself when he gets home. He is a quiet kid- and we love him very much.
Happy 7 YEARS ISAAC!
