"Good Mothers Have
Sticky Floors,
Dirty Ovens,
Laundry Piles,
& Happy Children"
I saw this quote & sometimes this gets me through the day. Why? Well I used to be super clean- after I moved out of my parents house(of course) and before I had 3 children-and now, I feel like I can never quite catch up. I try, I really do and for the most part my house is very clean, but the baseboards, the windowseals, the tupperware cupboard, the dust on the blinds.... all drives me crazy- every day. Really, I work hard every day to keep the house up. For example, I hear myself saying throughout the day, and YES, I DO & HAVE SAID THESE VERY THINGS:
"get out of the washer!!"
"get off the curtains!"
"get out from under the couch covers!"
"put the couch cushions back on the couch!"
"Don't take the thread off the sewing machine and string it around the house!"
"Tools belong in the garage, and no shovels in the house!"
"quit moving the furniture around!"
"don't rip up little peices of paper and scatter them on the floor!"
"We just put the huts away, no more blankets!"
or my personal favorites
"stop putting hand sanitizer all over your brother!"
"stop squeezing out all of the shampoo!"
"don't climb on the bookshelves and knock off the books!"
"Don't dump out the lucky charms on the floor- just so you can pick out & eat the marshmellows!!"
"Whe the H#&@ pee'd on the floor, over here?"
"We only eat in the kitchen nook!"
"NO STICKS or ROCKS inside the house!"
"No suckers, no gum, no popsicles INSIDE THE HOUSE!"
However, these rules & regulations frequently get NO RESPECT!
Ugh!
Thank Goodness for my DYSON, Bissell steam cleaner, & BLEACH! I need to buy some stock in those companies...
It is a constant game of zone defense. It is crazy, it is chaotic- it is life with three sons. I'm glad they are all alive, happy & have personalities- and when they grow up and have places of their own- I hope they change their sheets often. :)

HAHAHAHA! I love this post. Gotta love life as a mom of boys. These will make for great stories to tell their future wives!
My grandma tells a story about finding my dad and his twin brother (18 mo. or so) on top of the ice box with its contents all over the kitchen. Great story. :)
