Whaddyalookinat hmmmm?

 I. Take. My. Kids. EVERYWHERE.

Most of the time, they can't stop saying "look at this, look at that."

which means, " I can't stop myself from running far far away from you and touching this very important thing i'm looking at. I absolutley have to hold it in my hands, examine it. IT IS A NEED!"

So you can see my frustration when I go the library

I
Just
Want
To
Check
Out
4
Simple
Childrens
Books

How hard is this?

ummm,
Penn: can't stop banging on  the handicap button which is continuously opening and shutting the doors..
Isaac: can't stop flipping through the stack of 10 cent National Georgraphics
Luke: is flipping out of his stroller, getting tangled up and yelling at me!
Then, Isaac & Penn remember that the library has
a
really
great
Potty
THE URINAL
"WE NEED TO GO POTTY!"
They are milling around in there, peeing
up
a
storm
when I say
allright
you
two,
GET ON WITH IT!
10 minutes later...
They emerge from the bathroom
soaking wet from washing their hands.

So we check out a copy of  Bony Legs and The Indian Runner- and go "sit" at the trolly stop. The trolly comes, and the boys run up and down the isle, switching seats about 3 times before I say, "It is against the trolly rules to move around once the trolly is moving, please stay in your seat."

We get to our destination: THE MALL. They all eat an 85 cent ice cream cone & play at the big tree playground. They run till their hearts content- saunter through the mall looking at this and that and touching every gumball machine from the playground to the waterfall, throw rocks into the ponds, get on the trolly and fall asleep on the way home.

Seriously? These little people are SOMETHING ELSE!  I do admit, I have the best job EVER.  It is ADVENTUROUS! It is EXHAUSTING. These BOYS Are just DARLING, and I LOVE THEM TO PEICES.

However:
-
Sometimes, I feel like  people around me {the librarians, especially} are looking at me and are thinking one of two things:

1. "oh those little boys are so cute."
or
2. "Why doesn't that mother tell her children to straighten up."

Ha! I love this post! We have such similar lives. Gotta love being a mother of all boys lol.

Oh boy, don't get me started on librarians... When I grow up I am going to be a librarian with a sense of humor. Libraries are so not child-friendly. I am going to change that some day. You just wait... I'll let your boys run around my library all day. ;)
