{Penn Joshua Smith} Celebrated by his Second Birthday by blowing out 2 candles on a pumpkin roll for his birthday & had small party with a few friends & cousins.
Penn turned 2 years old on July 2nd- and what in the world do you get a 2 year old?
Well, grandma & grandpa Robinson know...

A mini Trampoline - of course!

He is so spunky, strong-willed, hilarious, strong, fastest reflexed kid i've known. He looks older than he is- he acts older than he is and he is one SMART cookie. Tonight when the firworks were going off he said: "mom, its pocorn in da sky, mom!" Because of the BOOMS & CRACKLES! I will never forget the day we brought him home from the hospital and having all the firworks going off that night. We got in the family car- drove over to my brothers house and when we showed him to Uncle Rick & aunt Jackie- Rick said that he was beautiful. That dark, curly, thick hair- fat cheeks, perfect coloring, & deep dimples- he smelled like pink Johnson & Johnson baby lotion & was a beautiful baby boy.

I remember the exact day I found out I was expecting Penn. It was the FIRST DAY we moved into our new home- I was home with Isaac and I was unpacking boxes. Isaac had gone down for a nap and I remember taking the test and telling myself- its okay if it is negative because I am still young- someday this will happen. Well, I took the test and when the plus sign came up I just stared at it for a long time. I was so excited! Then I went into the living room and just burst into tears! And then I knelt down and said a prayer of thanks to my Heavenly Father for giving our family this gift. It was one of the most happy days of my life.

We love Penn with all our hearts and on a funny note- here is the first picture that I took of him on his birth day. He is fanning his little hiney- front and back:) I was spying on him to see what he was doing in his room- he had taken off his diaper and clothes, put them on his bed and was drying off- his way!

Penn loves

{swinging on the swingset, swimming at the pool with his blue goggles on, playing with trucks, drinking chocolate milk, eating soybeans & rice, strawberries, fried ham & eggs, homemade banana shakes, & Nilla Wafers. He often conspicuously takes off his diaper and pees somewhere in the house:) Penn HATES THE VACUUM & when dad leaves for work in the morning:( He loves bedtime stories- especially curious George and Eric Carle stories. He likes shaun the sheep (9 min) movie shorts, loves wrecking Isaacs Lincoln Log houses- and laughing in his deep, manly voice. He cannot part with his blue silky blankie. He loves his toy horses & farm set, monster feet, & dressing up in his train conductor hat. He absolutely loves to take rides in the bike trailer with his little brother Luke. He gives perfect smacking kisses & very sweet hugs}

And even though we know for a fact he is the cutest little thing, how can he NOT get MORE adorable as the years go by? We love you Penn & we are grateful that you came to our family.
Love Mom & Dad.

Your 2 year old loves being naked and playing in the clothes dryer? Both of my boys think that those are fantastic activities! Your family is so cute. I'm glad I found your blog on the pv class of 2000 blog so I could see cute pics! I agree - hope you can make it to the reunion!
