Hi, this is Bryan, and I wanted to blog about Penn at dinner today. What is it about our children eating large quantities of new food that pleases us? Well today I made some crock-pot stuffed peppers from a recipe I got off of Mark's Daily Apple (link). It was prepped and in the crock pot to cook while we were at church.
When we got home, the house smelled so good and we could hardly wait to try it out. I was looking forward to spending some quality time with MJ and enjoying the chow so I fed Penn a bottle and put on some Elmo's World for him and then we dished up.
Penn must have a sixth sense about when there is food available because right after we tucked in at the dinner table, he was there like a lightning bolt and saying "bite? bite?". I thought for sure that he would spit it out because it was quite spicy and unlike anything else we have had for dinner. Well to my surprise, he chowed down like a little cave man and was asking for "more? more?". He made me feel great about my cooking.
BTW, if you try the recipe, we didn't have any cauliflower on hand so we subbed in some broccoli and it worked out fine.
