Something Better

A lot of my friends all ready know this, however- BRYAN GOT A NEW JOB! We are so excited. I first of all want to say that his last job was great too. He worked at a public accounting firm where the people he worked with were very nice, classy, & smart people (snappy dressers too, I must add) M.J. Muhammed Jawad (true story- real name). He is going to miss a lot of them and is so grateful for that experience because if it weren't for those clients, he wouldn't have been able to MOVE ON to BIGGER and BETTER THINGS. Like paychecks (only kidding, ha ha...). Yep, we are excited. He is working for Southwestern Energy and his job title is a financial reporter. He is looking forward to:

20 minute commute (pinch him now)
Good Health Care that includes dental & vision health care (pinch me now)
Working with the same people/ same locations
having an office/ opposed to a removable magnet with your name on it (that is moved from cube to cube)
Having dinner with us (pinch me now)
Playing "Jail" with Isaac at night (pinch Isaac now)
Going to bed at a reasonable time
Having a life outside of work/commuting
No major 3-4 month period of working mad/crazy hours
No driving to the Galleria just to wait for the client to get you their stuff...
No more I-10, Highway 59, or the HOV lane, No more Woodlands Park & Ride
Every other FRIDAY OFF (unreal-people!)
Spending time with his FAMILY -Oh, hi i'm Mary Jane- we're married-i'm not sure we've met in the last few years... :) (of course i'm just being silly- it really wasn't that bad.)
Yard Work (I just COULDN'T resist)

He will miss:

Complimentary FANCY DINNERS
D.J O'Brien- That guy IS hilarious

I am so grateful for this opportunity for our family. It has been said that HAPPINESS is A JOURNEY not a DESTINATION. But SOMETIMES (in our case) IT REALLY IS A DESTINATION. And, I just wanted to say THANK YOU PHIL!

Gosh. When you lay it out like that it sure makes a girl grateful! I'm so excited for you all. I hope Bryan enjoys working for SWN.

I expect a moving testimonial in no less than one month on the following: "What does the SWN formula mean to you?" ;) (You'll get it later if you don't yet...)

When the pros list has 13 things, and the cons list has 2 things, you know it's a good deal. :)

Nice!! I'm excited for you! K I thought your blog was private! Glad it's not and I can peek at it now and then!! So you guys live in Texas? How do you like it? We're thinking about moving to Texas after dental school. Apparently they are short on dentists and we want to be somewhere that is short on dentists you know so we can make the bling bling!!

Yes, it was a tough decision to leave GT, it was a good place to work these past couple of years. I am happy to be moving on and am working with some pretty sharp people here at SWN!

SWEET!!!
bzzzsst! consider yourself pinched.

How awesome is that! New jobs are the best. We are constantly talking about what is out there...I have a feeling we will never be completely settled in life and Im okay with that.

Change is good.

LOVE that girls room. Why cant I be creative like that?
