THE BEST NEWS EVER!

This is a picture of Isaac & Luca eating Ice cream- and his grandma, the one who is 94 hand sewed his firetruck shirt. Amazing... anyway...
This is a picture of her little boy- isn't he just the cutest child? We were driving race cars together.
Okay,

My friend has been taking the discussions for the last 6 weeks or so and it has been DRAGGING... and she hasn't really felt anything. It has been kind of hard with her being so busy, being a single mother, working full time, and taking care of her 94 year old mother who has been in and out of the hospital lately.

I was feeling so discouraged about the whole situation these past few days because I felt like the Elders were not making a very good connection with her- even though they are great and everything- sometimes, they are just... well 19. Personality wise, it was kind of difficult since they are both very shy and awkward. Bless their hearts:) Also, I was very concerned that no one in her ward was even talking to her or knew who she was. Since we are not in the same ward and our meetings overlap I was not able to go with her always. Secondly, because of our schedules, I am usually not available to go to the discussions.

So we invited her to stake conference where she was able to sit with us and she said that she really felt something when President Dieter F. Uchdorf spoke. I was feeling great about that, but still a little apprehensive about the elders visit- But then tonight she called me and said that thee elders came over to teach her and her son the lesson- and that another family came with them. She said that their little boy came in and said "We came to tell you all about Jesus Christ!"

She said that he just made her so happy, and he was just so darling. She said that the spirit was really strong and she was feeling so happy about the direction that discussions were going and that she was really feeling good about the message. Before it has been a little frustrating for her- but to hear that there was a positive breakthrough just made me feel so happy. I am just so excited that things are working out for the best! FINALLY!

I hope that things can keep going well for her because she is truly a remarkable person and I really admire her a lot.

Now the hard work begins!

Mary Jane, you're the best member missionary I know! How do you do it?! That's so neat that your friend is getting more interested in the gospel. She's such a nice and good person. Tell her I said hi the next time you see her!

Okay! You can't title a blog "THE BEST NEWS EVER" and not follow it up with "IT'S A GIRL!", or my personal favorite, "YEAH FOR ANOTHER MIRACLE IN BOYS CLOTHING!" (I feel so deceived!) That is really great news, but next time you have the "BEST NEWS EVER", it had better be about the baby. :)

That is great news. You have always been a fantastic missionary mostly because you love people and you love the gospel. . . good combo. Keep it up my friend!

What a sweet story. I hope it all works out! You are such a good example to me. Keep it up and good luck to your friend!

Congrats on another boy! I can't believe it! I swear, 80% of people having babies are having boys. God is preparing for something to come I think!

Ok, so it's a boy and I'm due in 4.5 weeks. I'm so excited to buy a house! No neighbors (or smells from neighbors)...I'll leave that to your imagination! lol

What a great opportunity this is for you. I hope she continues to be receptive and has some significant spiritual experiences here shortly that will help her testimony begin. What a great example and influence you are to her! And way to go for Smith boy #3, Wahoo!!! Your boys are sooo handsome! I can't wait to see what this little guy looks like. I hope you are feeling good!
